Announcing The Babington Spirit Awards
From the beginning of my involvement in the Kevin Babington Foundation I had been fearful, recognizing the enormity of the task, and the affect it could and needed to have for the sport I so love.
Four years into the challenge I’ve often repeated the phrase, “I’m in awe of the generosity, caring, and closeness exhibited by riders, owners, and sponsors of the sport “, all of whom lead extremely hectic lives.
As we prepare for the critical tasks of safety education, research on medical advancements, and of course fund raising, the board of the Foundation made up of the most generous of all, have decided to recognize the person or persons annually who personally embody the spirit and courage of those riders and heroes we support. Heroes like Kevin, Johnathan, David, Kim and Alexis.
Therefor on Sunday night March 30th during our annual “Mystery Lip Synch” ,or consistent with this year’s theme, “Kevin’s Rock Stars” we will bestow that richly deserved recognition.
