Christine Vanneck Joins the Kevin Babington Foundation Board of Directors

Longtime equestrian, breeder and owner brings extensive industry experience and international connections to the Foundation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 28, 2026

The Kevin Babington Foundation is proud to announce that longtime equestrian, breeder and owner Christine Vanneck has been elected to its Board of Directors.

Since its founding in 2019, the Kevin Babington Foundation has been guided by a dedicated group of equestrians, supporters, volunteers and industry leaders who have helped shape the organization’s mission and expand its reach. From those who rallied around Kevin Babington and his family in the Foundation’s earliest days to the board members and volunteers who continue to provide strategic vision, relationships and hands-on support today, the strength of the Foundation has always come from its community.

That commitment extends to the way the Foundation operates. The Kevin Babington Foundation is led by volunteers, with board members receiving no salaries or financial benefits for their service. The organization has worked diligently to keep administrative overhead exceptionally low, allowing the vast majority of its resources to remain focused on its mission of supporting show jumping athletes suffering from spinal injuries and their families. The Foundation currently maintains administrative overhead of approximately 6%, reflecting its commitment to directing resources toward its mission and the athletes and families it serves.

Vanneck joins current board members Jeff Papows, PhD, Carol Coleman, Michael Doherty and Victoria McCullough, bringing with her decades of experience and an extensive network throughout the equestrian industry.

Through her breeding endeavors both domestically and internationally, Vanneck has developed deep ties across the sport and has been a strong advocate for equestrian safety, including increased awareness and adoption of safety vests in both the United States and Europe.

Equestrian sport is also deeply rooted in the Vanneck family. Her daughter, Sarah, managing the family’s breeding operation, Muny Sunk Stables, while her husband, Mark, works with Brook Ledge Horse Transportation. Both Mark and Brook Ledge have also been longtime supporters of the Kevin Babington Foundation, assisting with the transportation of Foundation jumps and equipment to events across the country and helping support the continued growth of the Foundation’s Babington Benefit Classes.

“I am thrilled that Christine is joining our board,” said Kevin Babington Foundation Chairman Jeff Papows. “Each member of our board brings a unique area of expertise that has helped move the Foundation forward. Victoria has helped open doors to extraordinary partnerships and medical advancements that otherwise may not have been available to us. Carol, through her extensive career in the equestrian industry, has helped strengthen our relationships with horse shows across the country and broaden the reach of our message. Michael Doherty brings invaluable financial knowledge and oversight to the management of the Foundation. Christine now adds an exceptional network within the breeding community, along with valuable international connections throughout the sport.”

Vanneck’s addition to the Board reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to broadening its reach, strengthening industry partnerships and bringing together leaders whose experience can help advance both the Foundation’s mission and the conversation surrounding rider safety.

Board member Victoria McCullough emphasized that Vanneck’s appointment also represents an important opportunity to build stronger connections with the breeding community and those responsible for developing the next generation of equine athletes.

“As a Board member, I am incredibly proud of the people who serve this Foundation and the fact that no one accepts a salary or personal benefit for doing so,” said McCullough. “Christine’s addition reflects both the growth and the increasing diversity of our Board. The breeding community plays an essential role in developing the young horses that will go on to compete around the world, and with that development comes inherent risk for both horse and rider. It is a community that presents an important opportunity for the Foundation to advocate for safety, education and fraternity within the sport. Christine brings the experience and relationships to help us build that bridge.”

The Kevin Babington Foundation looks forward to welcoming Vanneck to the Board and benefiting from her experience, perspective and longstanding commitment to the equestrian community.

Farrington and Cruciotti-Vanderveen Take the Final Honors at Silver Oak

Kent Farrington and Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen named the 2026 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Leading Male and Female Riders, presented by Windstar Cruises

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 15, 2026

The jumps are down.

The ribbons have been handed out.

The final horse has left the ring.

But before the book officially closed on the 2026 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, there was one final honor to award.

And it went to two riders who spent the week doing what great competitors do best:

Showing up. Staying consistent. And delivering when it mattered.

Presented by Windstar Cruises, the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Leading Male and Female Rider Awards recognize the riders whose performances across international competition separated them from the field over the course of the week.

For 2026, those riders were:

Leading Male Rider — Kent Farrington

The world No. 2 closed out Silver Oak in spectacular fashion, capturing the Agero CSI3 Grand Prix* aboard Dolores PS and putting an exclamation point on a week filled with top-level international competition.

Farrington’s Grand Prix victory came after a remarkable stretch that saw him compete in Traverse City, travel to Toronto for Major League Show Jumping, finish second in a CSI5* Grand Prix, and return to Traverse City the next morning to win.

When the final points were counted, Farrington stood alone as Silver Oak’s Leading Male Rider.

Leading Female Rider — Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen

Few riders were as consistently in the conversation throughout the week as Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen.

Cruciotti-Vanderveen produced top results across multiple international classes, qualified two horses for the jump-off in the Agero CSI3* Grand Prix and finished third aboard Mochito V/D Mishagen.

She also came within 0.651 seconds of winning the Babington Benefit Classic aboard defending champion Shamonix SF.

Ride after ride, class after class, Cruciotti-Vanderveen remained near the top of the leaderboard.

That consistency earned her the title of 2026 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Leading Female Rider.

“This was an incredible week of sport,” said Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Chairman Jeff Papows. “We witnessed some of the best show jumping of the season, and to close the tournament by recognizing Kent and Kelli felt like the perfect ending. Both riders were consistently competitive, they delivered under pressure, and they represented exactly the level of sport we want Silver Oak to showcase.”

A Week Worth Remembering

The Leading Rider Awards put the finishing touch on a week that delivered just about everything.

Speed.

Jump-offs decided by fractions of a second.

A historic third Babington Benefit Classic victory for Michael Morrissey. Soon joining Windstar Cruises for a vacation of a lifetime.

A world No. 2 flying back into Traverse City and winning the Grand Prix.

And some of the sport’s best riders battling from the opening class through the final Sunday afternoon.

Through it all, Windstar Cruises helped celebrate the performances that defined the tournament — from the signature Windstar Cruises Clear Round Horn to the presentation of the tournament’s final Leading Rider honors.

And when the final scores were tallied, two names stood above the rest.

Kent Farrington.

Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen.

One Leading Male Rider.

One Leading Female Rider.

And one final salute to an unforgettable week at Silver Oak.

A final special thank you to the entire Flintfields Equestrian Center Staff and the Morrissey Management Group. Your efforts truly made this week special and we cannot wait for next year.

World Number 2 Flies to Claim the Agero Grand Prix

World Number 2 Flies to Claim the Agero Grand Prix

Kent Farrington and Dolores PS close the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament with a spectacular victory that came down to the final horse.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 8, 2026

Some riders come to a Grand Prix ready to win.

Kent Farrington flew in to do it.

On the final day of the 19th Silver Oak Jumper Tournament presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, the Agero CSI3 Grand Prix* delivered exactly the kind of finale the week deserved: speed, pressure, star power and a championship that remained undecided until the very last horse crossed the timers.

And when it was over, the world No. 2 had reminded everyone why that number sits next to his name.

Sunday began with Traverse City guitarist Jesse Jefferson standing in the International Ring and delivering a soaring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, setting the stage for one final afternoon of international show jumping.

Then came the horses.

Twenty-seven combinations stepped forward to challenge the first-round course, but clear rounds were hard earned.

Only seven combinations found their way into the jump-off.

And only one rider managed to do it twice.

Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen qualified both Windstar and Mochito V/D Mishagen, giving herself two shots at the title.

But sitting among them was Farrington.

And his Sunday had started long before he entered the ring.

Farrington had spent part of the week competing in Traverse City before flying to Toronto for Major League Show Jumping, where he finished second in the CSI5* Grand Prix on Saturday night.

Then he turned around.

Back to Traverse City.

Back in the saddle.

Back to work.

And this time, second place was not to be.

Farrington and Dolores PS attacked the jump-off with the kind of efficiency that makes elite sport look almost unfair.

Forward.

Tight.

Quick across the ground.

No wasted motion.

They crossed the timers in 35.95 seconds.

And then they waited.

The target was set.

Now everybody else had to chase it.

Jacob Pope and Jecibelle took their shot and came flying.

The pair were clean, aggressive and looked every bit capable of stealing the class as they turned for home. They cleared the final fence and stopped the clock in 36.91 seconds.

Fast enough for second.

Not fast enough for Kent.

And then there was one.

The final rider of the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament entered the ring.

Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen and Mochito V/D Mishagen.

One horse.

One last chance.

One final run at Farrington.

Cruciotti-Vanderveen picked up a powerful gallop from the opening stride and went after the time. Through the early part of the jump-off, she and Mochito appeared to be matching Farrington stride for stride.

The clock was alive.

So was the crowd.

Everything came down to the final rollback and the race home.

The pair jumped clear and stopped the timers at 37.69 seconds.

Third place.

And just like that, the tournament belonged to Kent Farrington.

“This was a masterclass,” said Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Chairman Jeff Papows. “We were treated to something special, not only in this Grand Prix but throughout the entire week. The level of show jumping we witnessed continued to show why Traverse City is such a special place for the sport. Congratulations to Kent — he certainly showed everyone why he is the world No. 2.”

For Farrington, it was the end of a remarkable 24 hours.

Second in a five-star Grand Prix Saturday night.

A flight back to Traverse City.

A Sunday morning arrival.

And then one more ride.

One more jump-off.

One more win.

The final horse crossed the timers.

The clock stopped.

And the 2026 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament had its champion. Making it Kent’s Second Agero Grand Prix win at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament.

Kent Farrington had flown back to Traverse City to ride.

He left with the Grand Prix.

Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil rise to the top of the podium with the fastest double-clear performance in the GGT-Footing CSI3* Welcome Grand Prix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 5, 2026

If Thursday was about speed, Friday night at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation was all about keeping the rails up and finding one more gear in the jump-off.

In the GGT-Footing CSI3* Welcome Grand Prix, Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil did exactly what every rider hopes to do under the lights: jump clear, come back for the jump-off, and then do it again even faster.

From a field of 26 starters, the course challenged horses and riders from start to finish with a balanced track that demanded careful riding in every phase. No single fence stood out as the deciding factor — instead, it was a true test of consistency, adjustability and execution.

When the first round wrapped up, only eight combinations had earned a ticket back to the jump-off.

That set the stage for a fast and competitive final round, where Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil laid down the winning trip. The pair delivered the only thing better than double clear — a double clear in 35.10 seconds — to take the blue ribbon.

Callie Schott and Popstar also turned in a sharp double-clear effort to finish second in 35.81 seconds, while Paul O’Shea and Manglar LS La Silla claimed third with another fault-free jump-off round in 36.11 seconds.

The result capped an exciting Welcome Grand Prix and added another strong chapter to an already action-packed week at Silver Oak.

GGT-Footing CSI3* Welcome Grand Prix — Podium

1st — Ali Wolff (USA) / Hesperide Du Breuil
Double clear — 35.10 seconds

2nd — Callie Schott (USA) / Popstar
Double clear — 35.81 seconds

3rd — Paul O’Shea (IRL) / Manglar LS La Silla
Double clear — 36.11 seconds

With eight riders returning for the jump-off, the GGT-Footing Welcome Grand Prix had all the ingredients of a great Friday feature — pressure, pace and plenty of clean jumping — and in the end, Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil were the pair who made it look just a little bit faster than everyone else.

Karl Cook and Foxy de la Roque take the blue ribbon and the fastest time in the Muny Sunk Stables CSI 3* Speed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 4, 2026

Speed was the name of the game Thursday in the Muny Sunk Stables CSI3 Speed* at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, and Karl Cook and Foxy de la Roque delivered when it mattered most.

The FEI class saw riders push for every fraction of a second as the competition unfolded, ultimately producing nine clear rounds.

It took until the 10th horse-and-rider combination before the first clear round hit the board, but once it did, the pace changed quickly.

“It was a pleasure to watch such a fun class,” said Muny Sunk Stables co-owner Sarah Owen. “The anticipation built throughout the class because we didn’t see our first clear until the 10th rider. After that, speed and agility took over and we saw some of the best rounds of the week so far.”

The battle at the top came down to tenths of a second.

Cook and Foxy de la Roque crossed the finish in 61.37 seconds, edging Ireland’s Paul O’Shea and Spy, who stopped the clock at 61.48 seconds — just 0.11 seconds behind the winning time.

Abbygale Funk and Hulla Hoop rounded out the podium with another fast clear in 63.08 seconds.

3rd — Abbygale Funk (USA) / Hulla Hoop

With just over a tenth of a second separating first and second place, the Muny Sunk Stables CSI3* Speed delivered exactly what its name promised — fast horses, aggressive riding and another competitive international class at Silver Oak.
