Barns, Boots & Big Voices: Equestrian Talent Fuels Kevin’s Rockstars

Equestrian Performers Invited to Join the Lineup for March 8, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Jan. 13, 2025

As momentum continues to build towards Kevin’s Rockstars and the MIDA Benefit Classic, the Kevin Babington Foundation (KBF) is shining a spotlight on the extraordinary equestrian talent that has become the heartbeat of this one-of-a-kind fundraising event. Set for March 8, 2026, Kevin’s Rockstars is far more than a night of entertainment — it is a celebration of community, courage, and the generosity that defines the sport of show jumping.

What makes Kevin’s Rockstars truly special is the people who take the stage. Riders, trainers, barn teams, and equestrian personalities step outside the ring and into the spotlight — singing live or lip syncing — all in support of athletes facing life-altering spinal cord injuries.

The Heart of the Event: Equestrian Talent

From its inception, Kevin’s Rockstars has been powered by the willingness of the equestrian community to show up in a completely different way — trading helmets for microphones and competition jackets for costumes — all to support a cause greater than themselves.

These performances are not about perfection. They are about courage, creativity, and connection. They bring barns together, ignite friendly rivalries, and create unforgettable moments that live far beyond the stage.

Each act represents a powerful statement: this community stands together when it matters most.

A Performer’s Perspective

Those who have taken the stage know firsthand the energy and joy that make Kevin’s Rockstars so special.

“It was honestly one of the most fun nights I’ve ever been part of,” said Javan Dalman, who performed at Kevin’s Rockstars last year lip syncing “She Thinks My Tractors Sexy” by Kenny Chesney. “The crowd, the atmosphere, the laughter — and knowing it was all for such an important cause made it even better. You don’t have to be a professional singer. You just have to show up with heart. I’d encourage anyone thinking about it to jump in and do it.”

A Night That Changes Lives

While the performances bring the fun, the mission gives the night its meaning. Proceeds from Kevin’s Rockstars directly support the Kevin Babington Foundation’s work providing critical assistance to show jumping athletes and families navigating spinal cord injuries — helping with recovery, rehabilitation, and life after tragedy.

It is a reminder that when this community rallies together, the impact is profound.

Call to Action: Performers Wanted

KBF is currently welcoming additional equestrian performers to join the 2026 lineup. Individuals, barns, teams, and groups are encouraged to sign up — whether performing live or lip syncing.

Kevin’s Rockstars 2026 Tickets LIVE!!

The cost of spinal cord recovery has never been higher, and insurance rarely covers the extensive rehab, travel, equipment, and home modifications required for long-term recovery.

That’s where KBF steps in — and why fundraising efforts like Kevin’s Rockstars 2026 are more important than ever.

“The support has been incredible this year,” said Jeff Papows, Chairman of the Foundation. “But as we go into the winter season, when equestrian sport is at its peak, continued fundraising is essential. Your support helps save lives — and we need you.”

About Kevin Babington Foundation:

In late August 2019, Kevin experienced a life-altering moment when he suffered a complete spinal cord injury following a fall during the 2019 Grand Prix at the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY, United States. In early September, Kevin underwent a critical surgery to stabilize the vertebrae in his neck. By mid-October of that same year, he had made significant progress, transitioning from relying on a ventilator for breathing to facing the challenge of being paralyzed from the neck down. Remarkably, just two months later, Kevin began teaching from his wheelchair. Today, he remains on a determined journey, actively participating in experimental stem cell therapy, holding onto the hope of regaining movement below the neck.

This life-altering event marked the inception of the Kevin Babington Foundation, which was established in 2019. Kevin Babington Foundation (KBF) has been created to provide funding and support for Equestrian Show Jumping Athletes who sustain spinal injuries. In addition to providing financial assistance the foundation will also strive to educate riders, trainers and show organizers about the most current safety measures designed to reduce the risk of serious injuries which can occur while riding.
